Best Busker Ever

March 6th, 2012 | Posted by Improv in Toronto in Completed Missions

On Saturday March 3rd, some people walking along Queen st. in downtown Toronto saw a few people with signs offering to sing a personalized song. Then, in front of Old City Hall there was man with a guitar and a microphone. That man was Oliver Bailey.

What the people who stopped for a song didn’t know was that hidden all around the area was a group of about 60 musicians and vocalists from the newly formed “Improv in Toronto band”.

When the person stopped and asked for a song they were asked for their name which was passed on in secret to everyone else. The person was then surprised when, after a few verses, the whole group slowly joined in and played the song.

After the song, the person was left with a smile on their face and everyone else went back to hide and get ready for the next person who asked for a song.

If you were one of the people who got a song sung about you, we want to know. Please leave a comment below.

Also, if you were at the event and want to share your experience, please leave a comment too.
